Press the wheel onto the centre pin, turn the handle, and the stainless blade lifts a ribbon that curls into a rosette as it comes off. It takes one hand once the wheel is seated. The base is wood with non-slip feet, so the whole thing stays where you put it while you build a board. It fits wheels of 16–18 cm and works on chilled semi-hard cheeses generally, not only Tête de Moine. Backed by a 10-year warranty.

I have been wanting one of these for a long time and I am so excited. This cheese curler is fun to make “fancy” cheese decorations for your charcuterie board or to garnish your meal. You do need a hard cheese to work properly but I knew that before I ordered it so not a big deal. I like how easy it is to assemble, it’s easy to use and easy to clean. Lots of fun.
