The roller is what makes this one work: it rides on the block and keeps the wire at a constant angle, so the last slice off a shrinking piece is as even as the first. The body is zinc alloy — heavy enough to feel planted — and the wire is 304 stainless. Set the thickness adjuster for a thin sandwich slice or a thicker board portion. Two spare wires come with it. Wash the body with soap and water; wash the wire by hand. There is a hole in the handle for hanging.
