A sleeve solves it permanently: slide it on and it stays there, on the hob, in the oven, and on the way to the table. The fabric is thick with a high-friction surface, so the pan does not rotate in your grip, and the edges are stitched rather than glued, which is what usually fails first. Rated to 450°F. Each sleeve is 6 in long and 3.1 in wide, sized for most long cookware handles. Two per pack, and they wash.
