The heads are silicone rated to 446°F, so nothing softens on the edge of a hot pan, and they are soft enough to use on nonstick without leaving marks. Handles are beech, bonded tightly to the heads so they do not work loose in the dishwasher, and treated so the purple does not wash pale. Each piece has a hanging hole if you would rather use a rail than the holder.
